Appreciating God for Dr. David Oyedepo’s visionary impact on humanity, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Aize Obayan who  led the congregation in a worship session noted in her speech the significance of his new age which she said symbolized new beginnings. She described him as a man of diligence and depth, calling on the Assembly to emulate this priceless and godly virtue. The Chancellor, she enthused, is an exemplary leader whose diligence, and other virtues such as determination and commitment, have made him a global Icon. She added that it is not just enough to be a born again Christian; Christians should passionately seek after God, be committed and strive for excellence in any given assignment. If any one embraces diligence as a virtue, he/she will be surprised at himself/herself. It is not just a once in a life-time experience, it is a continuous engagement with a touch of excellence…, as a University, we thank God for his life, calling and passion for the things of God,” she concluded.

Earlier on, the Registrar, Dr Daniel Rotimi had led the University community in a prayer session for the celebrant, the Chancellor, Dr David Oyedepo as a way of appreciating and giving back to their spiritual leader from whose spiritual endowments they have benefitted.
