The study examined policy iteration and rewards to cassava farmers in Edo State, Nigeria. Specifically, policy iteration, a dynamic programming technique, was used to forecast expected rewards to cassava farmers in Edo State, Nigeria.  Three hundred and sixty (360) cassava farmers were surveyed in three local government areas in Edo South Senatorial District. Their responses formed the basis of the transition probabilities and rewards in the cassava production problem. The results of the study indicate that cassava farmers in Edo South Senatorial District of Edo State can maximize their earnings from cassava by retailing in the local markets in Oredo and Egor Local Government Areas and by making wholesales at IkpobaOkha Local Government Area. Using this policy, they will realize approximately N2360 per Basin and approximately N66080 per plot of 100ft  100ft. This will translate to N287, 844 per acre (4.356 plots of 100ft2). The need for policy makers to consider cassava farming as a medium for job creation and diversification of resource base was suggested among others.
